Google Street Glow they deal with neon lighting, I'm pretty sure they are all going to be universal kits so don't expect specific kits. Also this site is filled with guys who are fixed on drag racing and suttle apperance up-grades so you may not find much info on neon kits and wild body kits. So if you do decide to ask be prepared to get flamed by others who will poke fun of the idea of neons and non performance minded upgrades (i.e 20 rims, exotic body panels and the like). It's your car do what you want good luck and you can also do some searching on www.mustangworld.com

Welcome :SNSign:
I echo the comment that it is your car and you should do as you wish.
However...
There are many other options for spending your money that will either improve the performance or handling of your car.
Many of these upgrades will also enhance the apearance of your car as well

Dont get under glow. I am pretty much in the same boat as you. My parents dont want any performance parts. But If I can do it in a day then they wont know about it . Get headlights instead of underglow. I just got some for my '94 Gt and it makes a hell of a difference. I got some projector ones with a halo. I know there are some similar ones for your body style too. just my two cents.

I know what you mean, I bought my stang when I was 16, wasn't getting any financial help from my parents and couldn't do any performance mods really other than a turbo swap since it's a four cylinder. I'm definitely not trying to rice my car out with a big wing or crazy graphics at all....just trying to do a few things that, in my opinion, make it look better.

I had white neons under my stang at first but those things are waaaay to fragile and replacement bulbs cost almost as much as an entire kit. Now, I have a blue l.e.d. kit that I got on ebay that is much more durable. They also have all kinds of patterns that they can do, I only like the solid, but you may like that kind of thing also. The only downside is that, because of the LEDs, the light is much more concentrated and you don't get the uniform neon glow but it's not really that bad.

Truthfully, I think that novelty has worn off and i hardly turn them on anymore anyway, especially since its illegal to drive with them on here in PA.

Here's a night shot of mine....you can see what I mean although it's not as bad in person.

The LEDs are much much brighter but they also are a little more concentrated as you can see by the bright spots in the pic I posted. When you see them in person its not as blatant but there still is a little bit of a brighter line directly where they are aimed. They are pretty much tiny pinpoints of light that are diffused by their lenses and tubes while, with neons, the entire tube lights up uniformly but not as brightly.

So what I'm trying to say is that LEDs are brighter, more durable, and can be found for just as much, if not less, than a neon kit plus you can make them flash in the different patterns if that appeals to you at all.

It is like anything else, its cool for a while. I've had mine for about 3 yrs now and just don't ever turn them on unless I go to a night cruise-in. Driving with them is illegal. Thinking back, I should have used the $$$ for something else, but untill they die, I am going to leave them on.
