Thanks

I love my street burner tbh, i guess it depends what you want and how much $$$ you can spend. I couldnt find a cobra intake that wasnt backordered though

If you do decide on the cobra it might be best to look for an old casting, I've heard the new ones that are stamped ford racing next to the throttle body are prone to leak.
Like this one, but they can be found for less http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-OE...Parts_Accessories&hash=item41684865c5&vxp=mtr

Make a pass by the automotive machine shop with your intake in hand (both pieces, upper & lower). Ask them how much it would cost to have all the mating surfaces checked and machined flat. It would probably be less expensive than any other alternative.

The Explorer intake is a nice, cheap alternative. Moves the same amount of air as the Cobra, but costs 1/3 as much. And they aren't built in China....unlike the newest crop of FRPP Cobra intakes.

It's only an inch or two. What's the big deal?

This. You'd spend less fixing a better manifold than it would cost to purchase an inferior one.
