I cracked the lower intake manifold on my 94 gt by overtightening the temp sensor. So being it has to be replaced , why put the stock setup back in. I'm looking for suggestion. It's a stock motor with cold air intake 70mm throttle body, full exhaust. I would like one that keeps the strut tower brace and doesn't have a egr valve opening being I deleted it. Also a plug and play design. Thanks in advance!

Explorer intake is a good mod, not sure about issues with cai or strut brace on 94's, there are two types, this link explains

Bit complex for me but wow what a dedicated write up. Can't believe no one manufactured one comparable to this set up after all this time since the thread was posted

Explorer is still a very popular bolt on and works better than most realize

Apparently my ex-husband made that mistake.

Might look at the trick flow intake if the explorer setup isn't doing it for ya

So I managed to get a stock 94-95 factory cobra upper manifold. Still looking for a stock lower. I found a lower intake with no EGR port from an explorer. I plan on putting a block plate on the upper manifold but was wondering the effects? Thanks

Really no reason to delete the EGR on a stock motor. It helps lower combustion temps inside the cylinder and helps with cruising fuel economy. Doesn't rob any HP, and the argument that it heats up the intake is moot because after 30 mins of crusiing around, everything is hot!

Only reason removed was the header didn't come with the port to accommodate the egr. I defiantly realize there is no performance gains.

In your case, it won't matter then. SN95's place the ACT in the air box, so you can pick up either explorer lower if you don't intend to use the EGR
