That is a different one. The one your thinking about is the Boss 351 Concept. It was a 2000 Mustang with a experimental V10 in it. It was the test bed for the Ford Shelby Cobra Concept.

I would think you would have to do some serious computer tunning. We have a F250 at work with the V10 and that thing has great low end power and torque but the top end is not so good. Cams would help I imagine. Do they make any performance parts for the v10?

They sell a blower for it. Both centrifugal and positive displacement.

I have a friend who put one in his '97 out of a newer Econoline van that had a v10, it's freaking crazy,he had to get a 6" cowl hood and modify it to have a hood on the car.

For 12lbs of boost and 422ci (6.9l) it's not that impressive, I'd even say lousy HP/TQ numbers

A 15psi KB on a 281ci (4.6l) (50% smaller displacement) will make similar HP and TQ and save a lot of weight

Those V10's are designed for towing applications. Put some cams in it and it should get better numbers.

No replacement for displacement.

6.8L + blower > 4.6L + blower.....all day long.

Not to mention that to make 15psi with a KB would require a 2.2 kit and forged internals. Even if you do save of weight, that’s mucho-money and you’re still stuck buying a cowl howl hood.
