Anyone install a v3 vortech setup on a 87-93 fox? I'm having alignment issues on the serpentine setup and some of the directions seem a little vague from Vortech. My issue lies somewhere with the tensioner and the a/c idler. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Jim

well it seems like the belt rides towards the front of the tensioner even though the tensioner and the ac eliminator are aligned

im wondering if the brackets are shimmed properly because the vortech directions say washers may be necessary... if i could find someone that has a v3 with close up pics that would help a lot

You need to put washers on the bracker for the unit. Had the same problem with the novi i was running. Go to the depot and pick some up.

I had issues with my vortech setup too, I ended up having to use washers and a longer bolt on the supercharger tensioner pulley. I also had to place 1 washer on the main tensioner bracket as well where it bolted to the bolt that runs thru the water pump. Just takes some time to get it lined up right.

I had problems also.. I think I started with 2 washers (shredded a belt) then removed 1.

No issues since.

Pics would help...

I use a laser alignment tool when I put superchargers on sepertine or cog (even more important with a cog set-up), or delete accessories. You would be surprised how off things can be just do to stacked tolerances. Sounds liek your on the right track, if you still fight it let us know....
