V6 spoiler on GT

the Ford dealer here in town has a new 08 Mustang GT with a V6 spoiler on it. The window sticker says "GT spoiler" but it has the V6 spoiler. Is this an option on the 08's or is it a factory mix-up?

thats the PP V6 spoiler. could be a dealer swap, or a factory fluke. mistakes do happen at the plant. MIGHT be optional for 08. check inside the deakership at the sales literature. i have not really followed all the new options, since im not looking to buy.

whatever happened it turned out nice. It's white with the 18" polished bullets. Looks nice. I might swap with them.

I actually like the V-6 spoiler more than the GT spoiler to be honest. I have the spoiler delete on my 07 but I am debating putting on a V-6 spoiler or a ducktail. Hell I may just leave it alone....

I'm sorry if anyone disagrees, but the new v6 spoiler is butt ugly.
It looks like someone set a spoiler from some other car on the rear deck while they had lunch and forgot to pick it back up.
It looks so tacked on, doesn't flow with the body lines.
If that's Fords answer for those who want a ducktail, they missed the boat.
Original spoiler, ducktail or delete, okay, but that thing is hideous.

I got a vista blue v-6 with white stripes and spoiler I'll trade my trunk lid and spoiler for your trunk lid with stripes without spoiler in va.

I totally agree with you on that. I think it was a girl that thought that one up.

I think the factory spoiler looks like an afterthought. They got done building the car then looked at each other like retards and said "we forgot the spoiler" and then tossed it up there and left it.

Hmm... That is weird.

Wonder if someone at the factory is playing games- perhaps they installed the wrong trunklid?? But then again, it is so obvious that it's the wrong spoiler..

I'd be willing to bet that someone want the v6 with the GT spoiler and they swapped it to make the sale.

That looks so much better than the GT spoiler IMO. The GT spoiler just doesn't fit the styling cues of the S197 body....

IMO, spoiler delete, GT500 or ducktail is the way to go with the S197
