Valve cover gasket

Is a bad valve cover gasket going to affect the cars performance in any way or make it run poorly? If so what will it usually do? It looks like my drivers side is bad.

probaly not, but maybe leaks???? valve cover gaskets shouldnt cost that much should they? i got some valve covers and new gaskets i dont remember price on gaskets but if there chep just change them, one thing people do when they change valve covers is they torque it to much which messes it up causing leaks im not sure how bad leaks are for performance but i doubt there good

Other than the mess on the engine and oil loss, no known problems to the car.

Cleaning up your driveway when a car has a bad oil leak is another problem...
