with building my new engine, i want some new valve covers but the problem i keep running into is every set i look at says need to make modification to fit 94-95.

What mod do i need to make. I just want some ford racing covers, but i don't want to go buy anything an then be screwed.

any suggestions

the intake i am using is a typhoon intake.

Apparently my ex-husband made that mistake.

The Trick Flow valve covers seem to fit the best, and they clear roller rockers. That's what I am using. They clear everything and don't require any intake spacers with my Holley Systemax 2. The only downside is that you need to drill a hole in the valve cover to install the oil fill tube.

Sorry to revive this thread, but what part number trick flow covers are you guys using? I'm getting ready to put my engine together and my cam is going to have about a 560 lift with my 1.7 trick flow stud mount rockers and from what I know I'm going to need new valve covers

just keep this in mind ...

sometimes needing a new hood is a direct result of one's choice of rockers.

if you use rockers that require tall valve covers, then you will probably need a spacer for the intake to clear the valve covers, which makes the intake higher and can keep the hood from closing. that's the kind of thing that can make this hobby a pain if you weren't expecting it.

i went with the comp pro magnum rockers which fit under stock height valve covers because i love my cobra hood and did not want the added expense and work of getting a new hood.

i guess it's not a concern if you already have an aftermarket hood with extra clearance.

So those Comp Cams Pro Magnums cleared the factory VCs? Just wondering since you say 'factory height' and I'm putting a list of parts together. I have Fox VCs laying around, but it would be nice to avoid buying new ones.

yes, they cleared my stock valve covers. that was with the AFR 205 heads. but i do not know how the 2 different heads compare as to how tall the "ridges" the valve covers sit on are. i imagine they are pretty much the same, so my best guess is that the pro magnums whould fit under stock covers on stock heads too ...

They didn't fit on mine until I did some "bodywork". I was running AFRs and a cam though.
