Valve cover leak

So I've been having a leak out the valve cover breather thinking that the baffleless aluminum covers were spitting up oil into the mushroom style breather.

So I got me a baffled grommet and when I went to install ,I pulled the current breather grpmmet and found the opening has been hacked out. Is this possible to fix? Or am I looking at getting new covers?

Well those look like cracks so I would say yes unless you know someone that can tig weld.

Yeah...I noticed those cracks when I blew up the photo. Was actually checking to see if there were rollers on the end of the rockers. Bad news, good news I suppose.

Put some metal rocker covers on that side and see if they still leak, I agree those are cracks, they prolly used a 'death wheel' and a hammer to make the hole.
