This is my first ford ever so I bought this 1997 mustang GT . With spun bearing . Good 4r70w . I had a 2003 ford explorer that had bad trans so did some research found out you can swap the 4.6l from it to that mustang with few mods oil pan intake timing cover sensor etc . Where im have hell with is the intake I've bought three different style mustang intakes and I keep getting vacum leaks I've use bought style gaskets no silicone LOTS of silicone and still have vacume leaks I have no experience with this 4.6l im mean I've learned alot but what am I missing I've checked the deck on the heads with flat edge seems good I have to be missing something ??

You can use the explorer intake (done it twice) you just have to fab a way to get heater core hoses ran or try to drill out/smooth the back bosses on the explorer intake that are not cut for them. (maybe that's crown vic ones, can't remember lol).
You'll need to drill the front of the intake cross over for your second coolant temp sensor (One is for gauge other is computer). Otherwise this is a direct bolt in using your front cover and cam covers etc.
