Hey guys im going on to spring break next week and im a little short on money, and i have been trying to figure out a way to clean up my engine bay a little. So i got to thinking and i think i wanna paint my valve covers to make the engine have a cleaner look. So here is the question, When i pull off the covers and go to paint them i plan on sanding them down, then primering them and then painting them either black or red. So what paint do i use Can i use the high temp spray paint? Im not looking for perfect paint but nice enought until i get the money for my TFS kit and i can buy new everything. Also when moving the started solienoid do any of the wires really have to be extended or do they have some lee-way in the places i can put it??

thanks in advance

Cody- My engine pic is in my sig. I removed my valve covers, sanded them and painted them red with the high temp engine paint. What do you think of the result? Good luck and have fun.

i would go w/ the hi temp paint just for piece of mind.
from everything i've read if you route your wires correct you do have to extend any wires to the solenoid.

if you really want to make it look snazzy, polish them.

I agree, or atleast paint them silver. The colored valve covers make me puke.
