i can take out transmission, and change clutch myself. I can install header by taking K-member off, and I know how to read wire schematcs. but for life of me, i can not take off darn Valve cover off!!!
I made 3rd attempt in 6 month tonight, and i stopped at same place where i get stuck everytime. The darn passenger side rear cover bolts.

What the hell do u need to do to get to those stinking bolts :fuss:?!?!?

Patience, plain and simple. They are little dinky 8mm bolts I think, maybe 10mm, the passenger side ones closest to the fireware are a real PITA to get off, and even worse putting back on. Try getting some different size wrenches, maybe the self ratcheting kind and try it again another day... Oh, and on the passenger side you have to remove that heater hose bracket as well...thats a pain too cause its practically impossible to reach the bolt on the head holding the bracket in place...i think that one is a 13mm or a 10mm not 100% sure though.

??? Where is this hose??? Why couldn't Ford make our engine more like 60degree V? Have anyone ever seen VW VR-6? they are soooo narrow(something like 30degre). Infact, its soo narrow that they only use one head gasket for both bank. It would be much easier to work on, like to take Valve cover off, and install headers...
