valve covers

i am thinking about painting my valve covers, and i was wondering if you can switch the sides that they are on. because i dont like where my oil cap is, its hard to get the cap off in between the alternator..can they be swtiched or do i need to buy new ones where the hole is one the right one?

you could switch them if the filler neck will be clear of the intake manifold, but i dont think it will be. Im not sure how far the cobra intake goes over the drivers side valve cover. Take some measurements, it might work, but it could put the filler neck in an even worse spot.

yeah, thats probably true, i didnt think of that, my valve covers now dont have a filler neck its kinda just a hole..know of any valve covers that put the oil hole near the front on the drivers side? i looked at some but i cant tell where the hole is on the pics..

almost any valve cover meant for non-EFI (older 302s) will have a hole on the left side of each valve cover. So this would put a filler hole at the front of the drivers side valve cover and another filler hole at the rear of the passenger side valve cover. They also have valve covers that dont have a hole cut in them yet, so you can decide exactly where you want that hole.
