Valve Seals question?? Well, after smogging many people out. I realize that I have been burning oil. I need to replace my Valve Seals. on top of it I have a sewing machine sound (under my OHC cover), so I have to replace the followers. So I figured that well Hell , since I'm dumping money into this project , the cam must of well be replace because it wore out too. The point and question is, Is there a choice to cams I can choose from to get a bit better HP without F'ing up the engine? Thanks.

Edit. I just realized this was not a valve seal question. Sorry :(

if your getting a ticking from under the cover, chances are its not a follower, its going to be a Lifter. OHC motors always make some ticking becuase everything is on top of the motor, you hear it more. Unusual ticking is when it sounds like something is breaking or falling apart. If you choose to go with an aftermarket cam you will need to do some research as to how to do a cam swap. As far as your question, many people go with a roller cam A237 from ford, with this swap you'll either hafta buy roller followers from a ranger cam setup or pick them up from esslinger/ford.
