Do you have an air compressor? If so they make a line that goes into your sparkplug hole on head that makes this real easy.

without removing the heads you will need an overhead valve spring compressor, air compressor and a valve holder hose....you will remove upper intake, valve covers and sparkplugs then rotate engine until the cylinder your working on has both intake and exhaust valves in the closed position (rocker arms all the way in the up position) remove the rocker arms connect the valve holder hose to the compressor and connect the other end to the sparkplug hole and compress cylinder to approx. 80 psi to keep the valve from falling into the cylinder. use the overhead valve spring compressor and compress valve spring to remove the valve locks and retainers then remove the spring and old seal then reinstall new seal then reinstall spring, retainer, lock, rocker arm and bolt finger tight, move to the next valve then repeat for all 8 cylinders... after your finished with all 8 you will need to adjust the rocker arms for stock rocker arms you will bring each lifer to the base circle on the cam and torque rocker arm to 24 ft lbs. then reinstall valve covers and upper intake. valve cover gaskets will need to be replaced but you can reuse the upper intake gasket. you will also need a chilton manual you can get one at the autoparts store it will describe how to remove and reinstall intake and adjust valves and all torque specs ect......
