vapor lock help!!!

Hi, if you have a Performer Series Carburetor Models 1400, 1403-1407, & 1411-1413 you have a strainer just inside the fuel inlet nipple.

it seems like it is missing on a few cylinders. it doesnt do it all the time though..what would cause a motor to spiratically misfire? we have adjusted timing and the carb. when it seems to miss consistantly for a while and then rights itself..

bad gas would be my first thought.

i have been driving it a lot already and have gone through many tanks of gas. i also blew out the lines, and used some sea foam..we can do anything to fix it..could it be an intake gasket?

Have you looked inside the tank to see if there is debris in it. If not. Remove the filler neck and just look down inside it.

Do you have a fuel filter? If not, put one in. If so is it picking up any crud?
Have you checked your rotor and distributor cap for wear or cracks?
