Vent Window

I was wondering if anyone else has had experieicnce with the new Vent window frames? I think I may have asked this a while back and I think that someone said they had, but not th newest ones. I have mine and was about to get them chromed, whn I noticed that the bracket that extends below the bottom of the window frame was completly broken off. Somehow I never noticed this before, but now that I have seen this, it is obvious that this is not useable. Now I am looking at getting a replacement, but if I am going to replace one, might as well replace the other if the quality of the pieces are decent. Chroming will be about $175 for the angled frame. A new frame is $130. Thoughts?

I actualy asked this question over a year ago before I purchased my repo's (mine's a 67). If I recall correctly I didnt get any reesponse.

I have yet to install mine...but hopefulyl by now someone has some experiance with the Repos and can let us both know.

I was not happy with the repro frames for my '66. I returned them. The chrome was great but the holes for the division bar attachment didn't line up with the division bar and the 'bump out' for the upper pivot was not as clean looking as an original. As expensive as they are, I wasn't about to redrill the holes for the division bar, install all the other pieces, then find out something else was wrong. Wan't about to take that chance.

Any updates on these window frames? I have been looking for a decent replacement and am having a hard time with that. I am about to order one for the left side, but wanted a recommendation on where to get it from.

Vent frames

I got new vent frames for my 65 from NPD. I am very happy with the quality.
