vented or enclosed box?

ive heard both and from what ive heard a enclosed box hits better but not sure because the vented box i heard had a crappy power acoustics amp running to it.

I always preferred enclosed, with pillow stuffing in the chambers.

I had two Kicker 10's with a decent Pioneer amp and they hit hard and low. Better, crisp sound than a few of my friend's vented boxes.

Enclosed typically require more power to get the "driving" bass, however.

vented gives you a boomy type bass sound.

if you want tight acurate sounding bass use a sealed enclosure, poly fill and the correct airspace

a sealed enclosure is a little more forgiving on specs,the ported is hard to tune, unless you "guess" where to stick a hole and a port.

Ported boxes basically just make alot of noise and sound like crap.. I prefer tight, clean bass, so I always go sealed
