I did the first of the three 20 miles break in drives for my new gears. I was loving every seconded of it; I was finally driving my car after her sitting for almost 5 months. I finnaly get home to let her sit for 30 mins when I see steam blowing out of the overflow tube. I stuck my gauges in only to see the temp needle go past the max. I can squeez the top radiator hose, running or not. I think the motor is still good though, cause she still runs like and champ, and wasn't pining at all. Is this a sign that the thermostat isn't opening? That is all I can think of, cause before I never had one on it, and it never overheated. I just need to vent a little ; I'm gettin tired of this bs.
