Got mines replaced due to vandalism. They sliced my top, hoped in & stoled my airbags. Tore my interior up pretty bad in the process. Luckily I have full coverage & insurance took car of all the damages. Total cost of damage was 5K. The dealer did a pretty good job & all but it doesn't feel like the way is was fresh from the factory. It feels loose & my interior rattles alot now.

Just my .02, I replaced my top on my 96 about a year ago. Took me 15 painful hours to put on, looked good but...Long story short, it was worth the experience if you have a day to kill, but I'd advise against Key Tops. Mine doesn't fit correctly (have to crack both windows to open the doors.) I spent about $425 in parts last year and I'm shelling out another $500 Monday for a new one.

I heard from our Service Auto and Body technician that Robbins Convertable tops are the best ones to go with....in regards to quality and workmanship. If anyone has used these tops let me know.

I too was thinking of buying a new top since I have a laser red vert and it came with a tan top. I'd rather have a black one myself especially now that I redid my entire dash in black and red.

I've seen the ones on 50resto.com and I have to say so far 50resto is by far my favorite website to order parts from. I trust them very much

They have good stuff at resonable prices but my question woudl be the quality of the top.....I wonder what quality and type of top that Ford uses.

Got this link forma technician in the back and he stated these tops are pretty good quality wise.
