'vert top frame swap

I'm replacing by convertible's top, frame, motor, everything. The car is an 86 GT. The new stuff will be coming from an 88 (I believe), but if it is later will it still fit? I know they changed the design slightly. The main thing I need to know about is how to swap the frame out. Thanks in advance for any help.

Never done it, but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have to, so I've thought about it a bit. I believe all you have to do is remove the backseat/side panels, and the bolts that hold the entire frame should be in there, just unbolt and swap with the new...I can only imagine that it'll be a bitc* getting everything aligned correctly so the top closes right...

That's what I was thinking, but that's fine I'll take my time installing it. Thanks for the reply bennettracing. Does anybody know if 86-93 are all interchangable?
