Here is the video from the dragstrip with the 2002 Porsche 996 turbo. You guys know my car already. The 996 Turbo had a TechArt exhaust, K&N intake, and a short-shift kit. He said about 435 crank HP. I should be at ~400 crank. According to the 996 spec sheet the weight for his sans driver is 3480 and mine is at 3552 (last time on the scales stripped for racing). Driver weights - he had to be 250lbs standing 6'4" to my slim, stealthy 180lbs, standing 5'9".

My strong point was the launch and his strong gear was 2nd where he would gain on me but his gain would slow/stop in 3rd gear and I would keep the distance through the traps!

The video quality is o.k. It was on an older VHSc that I recorded onto my digital camera and then loaded onto the computer. It is good enough for you to enjoy and get the point!!!

Badass! Did you take your spoiler off? I really like 'em without the spoiler, nice and clean. IMHO spoilers give cars that "boy racer look," but to each his own.

Do the GTOs suffer form high oil consumption and or piston slap? My Z28, well :bang:

I removed the stock spoiler. It is not functional. I do have a functional one for my high speed racing schools that I can install in 5 minutes. No oil consumption or piston slap!
