k5zx, your VIN won't tell you when your car was made. You need an OASIS report for that. You can PM me or reply here with your VIN and I'll run it for you. Your door jamb sticker will show the month and year only that your car was built. If you want the actual day, you need the OASIS.
My door says september 2004, and in a thread about 2 years ago, someone broke down that question about production number. Turns out to be the 4285 one built so they must have been in the first week or two of production. Cool stuff when someone gives you the codes
