vinyl dye on leather?

will vinyl dye work on leather? i have some tan leather seats out of a '94 mustang gt and i want to dye them to match my two tone blue interior. it'd be conveinient if it worked because i could just pick some up from the local mustang parts house instead of having some leather dye custom mixed. any ideas?

I have used there colorcoat for years its great stuff but not sure if it will go to leather. The sure coat says is will go to leather. I have never used it but I am sure it will be just as good as the colorcoat.
You should be able to find it at your local automotive paint dist.

thanks for the advice. i'll definitely look into it. i was doing a little more research and i'm pretty sure vinyl dye will work on leather as long as you prep it correctly. oh well, i'll just give it a try and i'll be sure to let you guys know how it comes out. any other suggestions are still welcome

You can call SEM and they will tell you every thing you need to know. You should be able to find the # from the web sight. Or better yet I have it right here 1-800-831-1122. Just ask for tech.
