Vinyl & Plastic Paint On Doors?

Ordered some interior paint to refinish my doors from one of the Mustang parts vendors recently and they sent leather, vinyl and hard plastic refinisher. When I called them and told them that is not what I ordered, they said that is all they carry now. Something about they cannot get the other kind anymore. He said that I can use it on my doors but I said the label does not say anything about painting metal Should I use this stuff or try and get some paint from another vendor?

the paint for hard interior parts is basically just a lacquer paint, not vinyl dye... take what you have, along with the trim code of your car to your local automotive paint store, and tell them what you need... they should be able to mix the color you need. most of the better shops can also load it into a rattle can.

I got interior paint for my '65 in bright red from MustangsUnlimited. Haven't used it yet, but they had it in stock.
