After 3 days of sitting my 88 was dead. I did a few tests ( alternator, and voltage draw test) and both were good. The battery is appx 6 months old. Autozone guy said something about a voltage regulator might now charge the battery when the car is on. But even after running for a few second and then shut off. The battery is dead after 5 mins. So it would be the battery? Little help?

Sounds like a bad battery. If you are sure that your alternator is charging properly then it would warrant to say your battery is the culprit. Sometimes a battery will get sulfated and cannot accept a proper charge, this may be your case.

+1. it sounds like your battery can't handle a load. what i would do is pull the battery and have it charged and then tested in the store. after that, you'll know for sure if your battery is good or bad. if it IS good and you know for sure your alternator is putting out a charge, but your battery is still dying, i'd suspect the fusible link in the charging wire is blown. just a thought.
