Ok so I installed my vortech T-trim about a month ago on my 2004 Gt. Took it to the dyno and the tuner uped my fuel a bit because it was running lean I asssume because i bought a plenum and throttle body. After the dyno the car was running perfect. Now after the MPH boost pipe install there is no light on the dash but I checked the DTC on my xc3 and it pulled the code P0190 which is a fuel rail failure or something. Also the reason why i was checking the DTC's was because i got the boost pipe on and the car ran great for about twenty minutes then. the car was in 5th gear and it started surging like pulsing while i was holding a consistant throttle. So i limped the car home and havent ran it yet. There is oil leaking from the pcv valve onto the intake manifld so i checked the oil feed and there was a bur on the 45 degree fitting. Hopefully a metal shard didnt go into my vortech.

did the boost pipe lean the car out enough to throw that code? and why is it not showing on the dash?

And why is it leaking from the pcv valve and the car surging

First off I believe that code has to be seen 3 times by the ecu before it will give you a check engine light. that code shows up whenever the fuel rail pressure sensor voltage drops below a certain point. This code could have been stored before you got your car re-tuned. Do you have a wideband on your car to check your AFR? some people need to have there dyno guy tweak there tune once they have added a boost pipe and some are just fine. How did you go from leaking pcv to checking the 45 fitting on the blower? I would be checking the pcv and inspecting the boost pipe to see if there is oil inside of it. Your pcv may have simply failed and is stuck open.

Yeah thanks. I just dont get why the car ran great once the pipe was installed. Now when I start the car it just seems like shaking more than usual? could it be a motor mount? or like the bur from the fitting couldnt of went in the gears of the blower? What would be the symptoms of that?

if a burr went into the blower it has probably been chewed up by now. I would disconnect the belt and spin it by hand and listin for anything unusual. its normal to hear a gear mesh sound. I would also re-check you hoses on your boost pipe to see if anything came off or wasnt tightened down enough or plane not installed right. Aslo check you bypass valve too make sure it isnt loose and functioning correctly.

from the factory the codes sets if the fuel pressure is under 28 psi for 8 seconds while at WOT , the tuner probably set this at 38-35 psi for 1.0-1.5 seconds which is what I have seen by several tuners out there when tuning a boosted car , so it can pop up if you powershift the car , watch the gauge and if its holding fine under WOT , erase the code and keep driving .....if its losing fuel pressure you need to check for blockage , bad FPR sensor , vacuum leak , or fuel pump/s going out ..........if it holding pressure and just eronously setting the code at times , get the tuner to set the pressure to 32psi for 2 seconds and see if that will keep it from coming on
