stillwater,OK
OK here goes i need some info on a 1965-66 mustang station wagon, i recently went for a drive in redneck ville and found a rough mustang wagon, if i were to guess i would say '65-'66, the guy who owned it said he would sell it for $450, but he didnt know anything about it. so what about you guys you know anything about them, is it a prototype, knockoff, or a crazy conversion ( all the lines looked extremely well done so it looked factory).

i would appreciate any help.

I saw one of those things on ebay not to long ago, its not factory or a prototype. Its just a conversion very few people do LOL.I wouldn't buy it because when people do a conversion that crazy the car had to be in REALLY rough shape.just my two cents.

there was a company that did conversions on these in the 60's or maybe early 70's if i remember right. if it looks well done and the rest of the car looks to be in good shape i'd say 450 is probably a really good deal

well it wouldnt be my first restoration, the body seemed to be in good shape, but the front set a little high so i dont think there is a motor in it but i am not looking for back to factory so i was planning on a strong 302ci so i can have fun. i just wanted to make sure i wasnt hacking up a factory origonal one of a kind deal. but does any know the name of the company that did the conversions.

-thanks,
Matt-

there was a conversion shop in the 60's that took new mustangs and made wagons out of them. they converted something like 50 or so cars as i recall. it was never a factory job, even as a prototype there was never a factory mustang wagon.
