i'm wondering if u guys could share your opinions on some upgrades im thinking about adding to my stock automatic 2005 V6 . here they are:
1) putting in a CAI
2)getting a limited slip differential
3) getting some new 4.10 gears
4) getting it all tuned

about how much would it cost (parts and labor) and do you think this is a good setup and if not then what shuld i change?
thanks!

save up and get the tuner with the cai. since you will need a tune for that anyway. many sites have package deals intake and tuner for like 500 bucks. i say get that first.

then diff and gears. 4.10s are alittle aggressive. id say go for 3.73s.

Yeah I've been reading the forums and most people recommend the 4.10's or at least thats what I've seen. Why do you recommend the 3.73's over the 4.10's

it really depends on your overall goal.

some people i know that have gotten 4.10 wish they went 3.73. they say its not a streetable on their daily driver.

as far as pros and cons of each maybe someone that knows alittle more will chime in.

here are my thoughts on the 4:10 vs 3:73 .....

if 80% (or more) of your driving is under 70 MPH (not much highway driving) then get the 4:10's

if you drive a lot of the time at highway speeds, stick with the smaller gears.

These cars just feel better at higher speeds when set-up that way ...

that's my $.02

& BTW / now matter what you get, you cant beat the feel of that limited slip differential
