Where can i find the turndown pipes that are dumps that go right after the muffler?

I dumped mine and sounds waayyy better...soo much deeper. gets rid of alot of the flow drone too, i no some people get a gas small when they do it but i really dont, maybe once and a while just when i get on it hard and right now i dont have turn downs on...trying to figure out what size dia. pipe turndown i would need...guessing either 2 1/4 or 2 1/2...what has everybody else used?...although im guessing it depends what series they are or whatever and i have no clue what they are.

I find it hard, very hard, to believe that dumping the mufflers got RID of drone. Dumping it will put more resonance under the car. Now, taking off the tail pipes can shift the "drone" rpm, but i've NEVER heard of dumping the exhaust to get rid of drone.

Go to Pep Boys and get them for $10 for both, thats where I got mine. Or you can go to Jeg's and spend like $25 a turndown

I had 3" pipe with dumps on a 93 I had sounded good put anytime you're in gravel or something just throws dust and dirt all over car. Sucks if you have a dark color car and want it clean. I like normal set up better.

Whoever put my exhaust on just cut it off at the end of the flowmasters, there isn't an actual turn town...is that hurting the sound/hp?

I dont think turndowns are good from a racers point..... looking to get every ounce of HP. But they do sound bad-ass. Catbacks are supposed to give HP.

Warning: Not for an everyday driver unless you like your ears to bleed.

As for sound I have no idea. Go and grab some there pretty cheap. Let us know if it sounds better.

I disagree. Turndowns create less backpressure, while still retaining the small amount needed. I noticed a snappier throttle response with turndowns as opposed to tails.

Furthermore, you save at least 20lbs, probably more, with turndowns as opposed to tails.

Most real "racers" (ie: Pro Street and comparable higher classes) run turndowns.

They also won't make your ears bleed. That's an absurd exageration.

Backpressure is often confused with exhaust scavenging. The amount of flow in regard to restriction delta after the mufflers should be fairly negligable anyhow.

Exhaust cut-outs are utilized at the track for a reason.

They are nice snappy acceleration thats about it. i got more drone and sounded like a dump truck. Guess it depends on the cam u run if its stock it will be hella drone. I was using spintech prostreets btw

lol...so you mean the exhaust fumes are aiming right at your gas tank?

Try to put some turn downs...you never know what could happen.
