Was there really a Tangerine colored Stang in 1996?

Actually yeah, 96 was the only year with 829 built, only the GT models.

I really tried hard to find a gold '00 or '97, but those seem to be as rare as the tangerine.

Also resale value is more because of the special
tangerine color on the GT's only in 1996.

There is a Tangerine Cobra for sale in my area...not sure what year but its a 94-98..i'm gonna have to pull over and look at it now to see if its a Fobra.

it's a fobra... only the GT's got the option... just like there are no mystic GT's or any burnt auburn (or whatever) v6ers...

Mystic's aren't rare. There were 1999 made. I think the rarest Cobra colors are green, white, and yellow. YMR has all those numbers.

I never could find one of the 829 tangerines for sale. The orange '04 just wasn't orange enough. -sigh- oh well. I gave up on chasing rare colors, and bought plain old Torch red. 1 of 12,941 for 2002 isn't too bad I guess.

5 of those GTs went on to become Saleens, my coupe and one other, then 3 verts..

only difference being the colour of the lettering on the stickers.

I remember seeing an tangerine orange v6 in my area years ago.... didnt know it was only a GT option

it was weird... the week I wrote off my 95 GTS I was looking for a new 'stang... I saw... 1 Gold Gt, One burnt auburn GT and the Tangerine GT. I opted for the tangerine...

with the prices on ebay I'm considering getting a 96 cobra though... They're less that what I payed for my car!!!
