IMO, the TB isn't as much of a concern as the meter is, the stock TB should be about a 60mm, The stock meter is 55, that is extremely small, the meter should be the biggest.
I'd bet money that if you swap out the meter for a 75 or bigger pmas you notice a power gain.

good....and you're right. It will take a while for the computer to learn the new setup. Generally a few startup/heat up cycles before you start to develop steady fuel trims.

Also to the poor bastaard who can't feel a 50rwhp hit of nitrous. thats just sad. I can feel the difference of two degrees of added timing. Thats what 5-10rwhp? Perhaps you need a little more time behind the wheel.

Can't feel a 50 rwhp hit....pppffffhhh!

This car is a 88 Speed density car no mass air. the timing is only set to 10btdc. A bump in timing will make all the difference prob worth 10-15 rwhp with extra 5-6 degrees.

I felt going from 10 deg timing to 13-14 and 91 octane... I even felt a little swaping stock headers to the BBK ones I got.

this year I have a big pile of parts to bolt on
GT40 intake
70mm TB and spacer
100 shot of nitrous
GT40 heads
1.7 RR's
plus a bunch of stuff that wont add power but make it look nicer and handle a bit better

aight did a lil more tuning today checked the timing again checked for vaccum leaks and checked all the plugs no sign of anything worng.

so what i did was decided that i was just gonna put about 100 miles on it so i drove it around all day. and toward the end of the day it had noticeable more power then at the beginning. dunno what that could be maybe it took the computer a lil time to learn the setup.

oh and i got a 3.73 settin in my bro's garage thatll go in this weekend hopefully ordering my bbk 70mm throttle body tomorrow.

With the thumper heads, I would have chose a different intake, maybe the edelbrock performer, or a cobra/gt40 style intake, hell, even a well ported stocker would have helped you with the seat of the pants feel. Did the ports on the lower intake line up with the intake port on the heads? Put the gears in it, put good gas in it(93), and bump the timing up. If you cant get a new throttle body, port the stock one(knife edge the throttle blade-less restriction when wot).

This car still have the smog pump? The ac? The power steering? The stock fan clutch? You delete the smog, and put a elec fan on there, it would help. Where abouts are you in KY?
