Yeah the new trick is to have the bike cops just stand at the back of their bike with the helmet up... In this stance they are near invisible because all you see is black.. They pop you off with the laser and you are done...
This is what happened to me about 1.5 years ago... I broke my own rule as to how fast I would let myself go and could not get slowed down fast enough in between hits... He kept talking to me about how the radar detector did not help me, must have brought it up about 4 times... Funny thing is I was doing over 95 and he only got me at 87....

My car is too gutless to go over 60 mph, so I don't have to worry about getting a ticket!!

Although, coming home from camping this weekend. I was driving my Jeep along merging onto 405 from I-90 in Factoria there. I notice this pretty nice Mustang coming up behind me from North 405, so I am looking at this Mustang in my rearview mirror admiring the looks of it. Then I take another glimpse at it and it starts to look familiar.....then it switches lanes and gets next to me.....what do you know, it's my two girlfriends (my car and my woman driving my car). So, then she speeds off in my car. Well I get home and my car is nicely nestled in the garage. I get inside and the first thing she says to me "I love how on your car, I can drive down the freeway in 3rd gear"..... EXCUSE ME!!! Did you just say 3rd gear down the freeway in a stock GT??????

Anyways, the thing is we passed a cop when we were on the freeway.......in 3rd gear Then she tells me, how she put it into neutral when she passed another cop earlier in the day (that way it won't be so loud).....I'm still in aw over the 3rd gear on the freeway. I was like you know it's really loud, when your in 3rd gear at 60 mph......ugh!!!

not in a STOCK GT going down the freeway........she thinks that it was only at 3000 RPM....it would be more closer to 5000 RPM in that gear at that speed. Then she also says to me when we get home "I used almost a half a tank from the point I saw you get on the freeway to home".....NO S***!!! I wonder why.....some people!!

see, I got granny gear (2.73) so 3rd on the freeway is nothing. it's actually my best gear for now

I too have noticed the cops have been very active the past couple of months. I'm betting they're trying to help balance the budget with an influx of infractions.

man... w/ your 3.27s in there... you're only pulling about 4,000 at 60... probably less.... I'm only at 3200 w/ my 3.08s... and you have the T-45, not the 3650... (which would be even lower RPM than the t-45 at 60)

-but, I LOVE third on the freeway... it lands me directly in my torque peak, and right at the start of my HP curve

Oh, don't get me wrong, if I was to race someone down the freeway....I would definitely downshift to 3rd.....no questions asked. But, as for just keeping it in 3rd from Factoria to Renton, is just absolutely nuts!!!
