:bang: On the way to work this morning I see a tennis ball size rock in the
middle of my lane. I probably could have swerved to miss it, but it didnt
look big enough to hit anything so I straddled it. Bad move, right when I went
over it was a dip in the road making my car drop even lower. Bam!

I knew it hit but I hoped it was nothing critical, a couple of miles later I start to see smoke coming out the back. So I made it a couple of more miles to my work
parking lot and stop. I look under the car and see trans fluid starting to pour
out on the ground. Big hole in the pan. Called a tow truck to take it to a
mechanic I know. Hopefully all I need is a new pan, filter and gasket. :bang:

Dayaum that sucks! I hit a rock/hill on a gravel driveway one time and my car just stopped. It hit the pan, scraped it up/dented it a little but luckily, no holes. I think they are a PITA to change out but I could be wrong.

Yeah, normally I would drop the pan myself, not that hard once you get the car up on jack stands, but being stuck at work with no tools, didnt have a choice.
At least I will get a semi flush and a new filter. Just talked with the mechanic,
he may try to repair the pan by welding it if its not too crushed.
