water is still getting through my brand new weatherstripping. somehow its getting through my weather stripping, into the headliner border pannel thing, then running down the a-pillar pannel, then out onto my door, down across the speaker, then to the floor. i cant figure it out for love or money. the inside of the headliner border pannel thing is a rust color. and i have no idea how its getting past the weatherstripping..

any ideas?

it could be the winshield, the only reason i didnt mention that is because the pannel to the headliner next to the door is a rust color on the inside, which makes me think that water has been there. if it got in at the winshield, wouldnt it just go down the a pillar trim and out on the door?

Was it the door weatherstrip that you replaced?

Lots of guys have had issues with aftermarket door weatherstripping and it leaking. Mine leaked at the top and onto the drivers seat. I could seewhere it was leaking from and I was able to adjust the window frame a little to fix the leak.

The only other solution was getting some OEM weatherstripping. If you can't find where it is leaking from and the door weatherstrip is all you replaced then you might need to look into some OEM weatherstrip.

ive had the striker in too i forgot to mention that. i had it so tight that no one ever closed my door all the way once because it was set so tight. and it still leaked.

so you think oem weatherstripping will fix it? this stuff seems to be a pretty good quality.

I had the same problem, I put a piece of wood between the door and door jamb, then pushed the window frame in a little (window rolled down)... my guess is that there was some rust behind the upper hindge that inflated it a little. I'll take my doors off this summer to check it out better... for now it's not leaking anymore though

thats interesting. my drivers door doesnt close right. it sags down. even after new door pins and bushings. my friends dad yanked the door up and pulled the window frame out, and it made it shut correctly.. so thats odd that the other is opposite.

but thanks for the help ill do that thing you just mentioned.

i was waiting for someone to call that out. all these replies i have been thinking of beavis and butthead. did he just say wood. ha haha ha

no i mean literally stick a piece of wood like this up ur a**
