Hi guys, I'm having a water pump problem. I can't fully tell if I'm overheating because the gauge stopped working today as well, which is posted in another thread. When I came home from the gym today, I saw steam coming from my hood. Looking at the engine, I noticed a lot of steam coming from the water pump area. I also noticed a loud gurgling type sound when the motor is off and the steaem is coming out. It does not make this noise when the engine is on. Also, there are no bearing squeal sounds coming from the pump when it is running. Furthermore, the car seems to take a long time for the cooling system to kick in and when it does the pressure on the upper radiator hose seems weak when compared to my 2010 Accord. I'm not sure if there's simply a difference in the pressure of the cooling systems of the two cars or if there's a problem with this car. The car was fully warmed up as I drove it for about 15 minutes just to be sure.
