waterpump bolt hits Harmonic balancer??

WTF???
Lower waterpump bolt is scoring the balancer when i rotate the balancer by hand.
It didnt use to hit before the cam change..
Why is the waterpump so close??????

I would guess that the timing cover or water pump aren't fully seated against the block.

Did you put a different harmonic balancer on it. My buddies 94 did the same thing when we put a Ford Racing balancer on it. I think he just grinded some of the waterpump housing away.

Yep - it's likely a wonderful 94-95 issue. You can indeed do a very slight grind on the water pump if that will help your issue. Or consider switching to a fastener with a different head.
