After the car warms up it makes a weird noise. It sounds like a knocking in the motor or bad exhaust leak. This noise can be controlled by the rpms its worst around 3500.There is no exhaust leaks picked it up today from shop. This a 95 gt.The car is a swap to T5 before I got it.But I have replaced clutch, flywheel and bellhousing in the past 3 months.

hhmm is it just when the engine is under load, or does it also do it when you rev it in the driveway? Some exhaust leaks only make themselves heard under load, which makes them tricky to diagnose under the hood. If you hear a ticking noise from around the intake area, could be a failed lifter or worst case scenario, low oil pressure caused by a bad oil pump. Hopefully thats not it. If it sounds like a lifter, try running a heavier weight oil, it sometimes helps to unstick sticky lifters and slightly raise oil pressure. Mind you, this is a band-aid fix at best.

Driving Me Crazy

This noise is there even in the driveway when I bring it to 3500 rpm. Dont think its a lifter this noise more of a knocking sound .I notice this mostly after the car is warm.

Thoroughly inspect the harmonic balancer and make sure the rubber elastometer stuff isn't coming apart
