Cranked my car up after getting the engine back in and all that jibber jabber and filled it full of fluids. Started it up and came up with three weird problems, my AutoMeter Oil Pressure gauge doesnt work and my AutoMeter water temp gauge goes straight to 210 after the car is cranked. I have a feeling its something to do about a ground wire, becuase its not common for two autometers to die at the same time. Next problem is when I start the car, the "Check Oil" light comes on...first time I started it this light never appeared and now it just popped up. What do you think would make that light come on?

is there enough oil in the motor? :D On a fresh motor, it can take drink some sticking it in dry places.

I would just trace your AM gauges' sender wires to make sure they are not pinched (I assume they are electric gauges). Generally the more resistance in the wire, the higher it reads.

You can toss a temporary ground on the senders to ensure they are properly grounded, but I doubt that is it.

All the motor grounds are in place and all wiring harnesses connected?

No great advice bud. Good luck.

Maybe I should have put oil in the engine? :rlaugh: Yeah the engine is full of oil(I filled it up to the top of the valve covers...thats right isnt it? :D ) enough playing, but seriously its filled with oil.

All harnesses are connected and everything is grounded. I dont understand about the gauges though, the only wires I have had off both are the two sender wires from each of their senders.
