so i've got'em...love'em...but scared to drive with'em. I have the 15x8 5.5 bs with 255/60/15's, and 15x3.5 with 165/80/15's. ABS light is now coming on (from my understanding when this happens i'm without the ABS b/c the computer gets confused since my fronts are rotating slower than my rears b/c the fronts are taller. SO, what can i do about this....i would like to have my ABS in working order....you know, since i have it 'n all!

HELP IS MUCH MUCH MUCH APPRECIATED.

thanks,
Gus

Get a smaller front tire and your ABS will be fine...I think most people...including myself....run a 165.

Edit time...I think you can still find them at some Pep Boys for around 50 bucks or so...

Double edit time...here is a good read for ya....

yeah i've seen that site before...but i have the 165R15's and they are the cause of my problem. i was told that a 185/60/15 will work with the 15x3.5, but they are fricken $95 a piece!! it's hard to believe that i'm the only one with this problem.

I have the 15x10's in the rear and I use a 275/50/15 MT ET street radial. They sound narrow for a 10 inch rim, but they still bulge a bit. They are huge. I believe they are 26.1 diameter. I use a humho 165/80/15 on my 15x3.5's in front (26.0 inch) and get no abs light. I have 4000 miles on them so far and that is with frequent 400 mile 80mph interstate runs. Never had a problem other than getting them to torque right. I retorque them about every 500 miles until they stabilize. I have 3in studs in fron with a 7/16 mr. gasket spacer. I take the rears off on the long trips and put the stockers back on. Still no abs light. Here is a pic of them. This is probably more info than you need, but better more than less.

YES!!!!!!!!!! finally someone answers my question.....Venom_Nitrous, you my friend...are the MAN! that is the exact size i was looking at getting for my 15x8's....correct me if i'm wrong, but those MT's that you have seem to have more width (tread + wall) on them than a normal 275/50, am i right? MT's site says they have 11.5" width!! i was going to go with some 295/50's but MT doesn't make that size it is a 295/65 for them. Any suggestions on that one?

i just spoke with a tech at MT and he said there sizes do run wider and taller. He told me that the 275/50 would NOT fit on my 15x8 prostar. does anybody know anything about this?

He's full of it. Most people that have 15x8's run the 275/50's. I know of maybe 10 people off the top of my head the run that size. I think JayC runs a 295/50 on his. I run 26x10 ET Drags

I don't think there is any way a MT ET street radial in 275/50/15 will fit on a 15x8 rim. I have a 15 x10 with a 6.5 BS. I would maybe suggest selling the 15x8 and getting a 15x10 if you want that tire.
