I am looking at a 66 mustang that has some body damage in the rear quarter panel and was wondering how much it would cost to have a shop weld in a new quarter panel.

Body damage due to rust or physical damage? This is kinda open ended because you don't really know the extent of the hidden damage. A shop in I use in Nebraska figures about $1000 plus panels to do the job correctly. That's stripping, cutting the spot welds out, replacing the panel, leading the quarter back to the roof, priming, and blocking, sanding but not painting. It's about 40 hours of work.

The unknown is are the trunk dropoffs toast, are the outer wheel wells toast, hows the taillight panel? This job can be a big while your at it type of project.

I had a restoration shop quote me $1000 with me supplying the panels.
