SASKATOON
Well I finally got around to taking off those door ding things... that was fun!! I have blisters on my thumbs from rubbing off the actual rubber part that stuck to the door (pretty much none came off with the strip, it all stayed on the door)
The factory original side (drivers) came off like butter, no issue... didn't even have to use goo-gone. The passenger side was another story.... :notnice:
It looks better now. But my camera isn't here... so pics will be another day...

I also got around to ordering some subframe connectors... I bought them from Performance plus (here in town) cause I couldn't bring myself to order them in due to the insane amount shipping I'm sure there would be. It ended up being $240 (canadian) so that wasn't too bad. They will be here in about a week, then I'll weld them in and be happy. :D

Thats all for now...

lvmustanggt... see above camera is not accessable... pics will be in the next few days... be patient...

And I got the maximum motorsports ones... they were the only ones other then bbk which were almost $400 so I chose the mm ones...

no it's not installed... but remember I'm in Canada... With the dollars being so close together I thought that prices would be closer then they are as well....

Oh wait, the MM ones were $240. (the bbk ones were $380) I think it has to do with the suppliers that the place I got them from goes through...

Installation will be done by me, no labour for me to pay.

Why does Ford put those things on some cars, and not all?

I see mostly V6 Mustangs with them....rarely a GT

probably because there are some people out there that dont like the mouldings and dont realize it comes off so they didnt put them on a bunch of cars so they would want to buy them

to be honest when i started looking into getting a mustang i noticed this same exact thing and i hated the moulding crap and i myself did not think it could come off...now is a different story, i know far better than that now haha

this is the only explaination i can come up with

yeah... there are lots here with the door ding things in the city (v6's and GT's even cobras), it's probably cause people don't give a crap and will let their doors just swing open and hit whatever, or they get jealous and just do it out of spite...

But I'm glad I've be-ridded them. Now I'll have to get the body work done...
Two dents pulled, rear 1/4 repainted, and rear bumper done under warranty.

Then I think I'll have to go and get some real power to back up these amazing good looks :)

You will definitely like their subframe connectors: Ive got their XL connectors, STB, and 4-point k-member brace...........quality stuff at a nice price:nice: :nice:

I see by the pics here it does still look higher then it should... I will probably address that this winter... I have a few other things on the plate before that (eg. body work, supercharger) those will come first, but we'll see...

And the door ding things are these... just look at the top of the scoop thing in the middle of the door...

I couldn't resist a nostalgic pic from the first few weeks I had the car...

yes I do work at Canadian Tire...

and thanks for the compliments... I like it better this way too, just more worries about ignorant people is all... but either way they'll wreck it if they want... little rubber strips wont stop them...

I'm happy with the final result!!

Now to get some more power!!!
