Depending on what you damaged, it may only be about 200 bucks to throw in some 4.11s and call it good! Hopefully this is the case.

Dont think that would be a issue..he has many of hands if needed, namely Big E which knows a little bit

Sorry to hear that Nate. Might call Chung and see if he has something laying around for cheap till you can upgrade.

btw where did you bust it? just rolling down the street

I have been running a stock rear in my 351 car for years...
I believe the Lakewood slapper bars keep it aligned and functioning.

You have inexpensive alternatives: get an 8.8 from an 86-or 87 TBird. It will come with 3.55's or 3.73's (Try to find one at a Pull-Your-Own-Part type place). Rebuild your old one (kit is about $200).

Don't buy an Auburn.

I'm going to do it right, and throw parts at it. I just have to keep the car rollable till after aug. when my girlfriend and I move. Till then I'll just start ordering parts. When going down the road between 35 and 60, their is a VERY bad vibration,.... the whole car shakes like mad,.. kind of a drooning sound. Whooooo,.......whoooooo,......whooooooo,.... like that . I don't think it's the tranny, but I am looking into that too.

As for helping hands,.. sorry. I work alone. I find I get alot more done that way but thanks for the offer. If I do have people help,... it always turns into a bench race.lol It's just time to get hanky fixed up.

Yeah thats what happened to me, but that woo woo sound he's talking about, with a drone, is likely a rearend. Happened on my last stang about 7 years ago, and I still remember that sound like it was yesterday!!

I took out the yoke, off the drive shaft and put in the back of the tranny,... no noise. I changed the U-joints just in case, along with new gear lube, put it all back together and same noise!! I also took the tires off (testing in the garage on jack stands) and same noise. I'm sure it's the rear. I also tested the rear by roatating the tires by hand and found a really rough spot between 8 and 12 o'clock. smooth rotation from 12 to 8 o'clock if looking at the side of the car, but it gets really hard to turn the rear by hand from 8 to 12,.... make scence?

Someone please spool me!! with 33 splin please!! J/K >Me
