I posted the other night about my car not able to idle at all. The story was i got gas at a place i never went before. So i figured i got bad fuel. Tried siphoning it out, but cant in our cars, so i took the hose off the filter leading to the engine. Tried turning the key to the on position. But not enough came out.
With what did come out i looked to see if there was any water seperation. None. So i replaced the fuel filter and the car ran fine.
For about ten minutes.
Now it has to be the pump. None of the lines are crimped, everything else is dry. Dont have a pressure tester yet but intend to buy one tonight for the hell of it.
My question to you guys is what kind of fuel pump do your recommend for a stock 5.0, 5sp, with intentions of h/c/i, bbk long tubes w/ x pipe(in the shed) and all the other cool things you guys have done that only i can only over.

A 190 should be enough for most naturally aspirated 5.0's IMO

Agreed, though the 255 is not but a couple more bucks, and will allow more room to grow.

Good luck.

The pump only comes on for a sec to pressure the lines when you turn the key on. it wont stay on unless it's getting feedback from the dizzy telling it's spinning.
