i met up with paul "killer" and charlie "onebad95" yesterday at pittsburgh raceway park . the weather was great . my first pass was my best ever an 11.58 @ 121.8mph with a 1.75 60ft. and that was in full street trim on my nittos with some stuff still in the trunk , my next pass didn't go so well i bumped the limiter in 2nd and 3rd and went 11.6 @ 116 letting off early but still was better than my previous best of 11.82 and that was on et streets .i hope to maybe get my rear control arms on and try one more time this year , it should have an 11.4 or so with a 1.6 sixty i am real happy with these time for driving in, letting some air out, loosening up the struts, and running mid 11's

Completely jealous!!! I mean you killed me by almost a half a second in full street trim.. And those are some really good 60's.

Makes me wonder how much boost i was actually seeing at the track the last time i was there but anyways thats awsome.

my last run i happened to look and it was 8psi crossing the line my belt is slipping bad but i knew that i saw 10lbs at half track

Anyways do you know approx the weight of your car.. Sounds like you have done a lot so i wonder if that might be part of my problem besides crappy 60's.

What is funny about this is that as soon as Troy got there he asked me if I thought he'd break into the 11's, considering he was in COMPLETE street trim (ie spare in the trunk, all seats in, some junk in the trunk, etc). Honestly, I thought he "may" get an 11.9, or possibly an 11.8 on a GOOD run... but man was I shocked after the first pass. One thing to note is that this is the first time Troy has raced the car in a year and a half at least, and he ran on his nittos. Oh yeah.. that is on a stock T5 and STOCK CLUTCH! I don't know how the hell that thing is still in there holding all that power, but it is!

WTG Troy, I knew the car was capable of a lot more than the 11.8 it ran a long time ago! I plan to go back next week, so get those control arms in!

My day wasn't as good. My new clutch holds now, but I still have issues on the 1-2 shift, its like I hit a brick wall going into 2nd and it won't go in for like 2-3 seconds. I only ran twice, and both were 13.2-13.3 at 106.X mph. I sure I'll never live this down as onebad95 was there and I wanted to show his what my car could do... I let him down.

yeah i'm actaully running a 2.95 pulley that is good for 15lbs but i haven't tightened it for a while so i only see around 10 lbs but it slips up around 6 grand and goes back to 8 or so and yeah it's a stock bottom end and with the belt tight it sees 15 lbs but it's too hard to drive on the street with that much boost. i had trouble on the way home last night with it spinning into third gear on the cold roads.

i would like to weigh my car as i have tried to take some things out for weight savings like my seats and k-member.

I was real impressed with Troy's car at the track. It's the first time I got to meet him and Paul. Good job troy. As far as going 10's... Easy, just tighten the belt and let me drive.
