They aren't tooo bad.

Your 1/8th mile times/speeds would help me though as that's what I run.

FYI, I usually varied from 9.0 - 9.5 in with trapping between 75-78mph. Alot depends on the first 60'.

Edit: I wonder if your shift points were right? I had very similar mods as you and was shifting 2nd-3rd at 5200. Probably around 5500 1st to second with 3.73s.

With very similar mods to yours I was running 14.5-14.6 at a best mph of 94.89mph. My 60's were in the 2.0's though on street tires. Get that 60' down a little more and you'll be right there where I was.

man, don't feel bad at all, it was your first time! plus you're running kumho 712s on the track, if you go over to the race tech section you can read all about how those tires are awesome on the street but their track performance leaves something to desire. The first time I went to the track was in my uncle's grand national GNX, out of 4 runs I redlighted the first, the second was mid 13s and last two were high 12s, and this is a low 11 second car. At least nobody expects our cars to be fast, try getting out of a GNX with a 10 point cage wearing a fire suit and a helmet after a 13.4... that's embarrasing!

I was running 14.02 @ 98 with 2.10 60's on street tires was my best N/A. Our cars are heavy as crap so don't feel bad. Your times and 60's will improve with more track time. :nice:

My shift point were 5200-5300. I tried different launchung techniques and found that about 3K was the best. Anything under and i would bog down. Your right the kuhmos are a good tires on the street but not on the track. How can i get better 60'?

I just recently went out to sac for mustang madness the week before and one thing you need to also consider is the heat. I know when i was running it was nearly 90 and that hurts the performance a lot. My best runs were after letting the car cool for a while with a ice bag on the intake. I think I have a few less mods than you and I was able to get 2.089 60 ft's with Nitto 555 dr's. I agree with 94sc50 that improving your sixty foot times will really help your et's. My best last wk was 14.47 at 96.06 which I was very happy with considering I have an automatic.

Learn to ride the clutch, that is the key to better 60's on street tires. I was regularly getting 2.08's with a 225-55-16 tire with very similar mods to you. I added the edelbrock intake, t-body, headers, and ran a 14.3 at 97.2mph, also with 2.08 60's. I then added a homemade CAI and Nitto 245-50-16 DR's and ran 13.83 at 98.5mph with a 1.91 60'.

I cut between a 2.4-2.6 on Kumo 712's on an up prepred track so I agree w/ you on that statment. Hook really well on the street for being street tires but at the track there sub par.
