--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ok guys,

im getting my motor running again and i noticed that the twisted wedge heads are a tad bit taller than the stockers...i have FMS tall valve covers and before they use to hit a little on the alternator....i had small spacers on the alternator brackets to clear the vc's and i was able to get away with it....now i cant, because the vc's hit alot more......two questions: will trickflow valve covers clear the alternator since they are stock height? also, is there any alt. bracket i can use? i saw some march ones on summit that would work and allow the alternator to swing a bit off from the valve cover.
while building the motor, we happen to break the stock timing cover....i went to an engine salvage yard and got another one....i compared them and they both looked identical....same part number as well....only thing different is that on mine it had the year 94 engraved into it and on the one i got it had the year 91....(probably from a fox body)....everything bolted up right ,everything lined up perfect......ive read that none of the acc. brackets can be used on our years due to the fact that the timing cover is not the same thickness as the earlier years......since i have a earlier cover, would i be able to use alternator brackets they sell? thanks in advance

Apparently my ex-husband made that mistake.

Usually trick flow valve covers work well. You should be able to use the stock bracket with those.
