Ok. I cant take driving my beater anymore in this horrible So Cal heat. When I turn on my controls (for heat) I get only a small amount of air blowing only out of the defrost. That is problem number 1. any ideas? The ac unit is there on the engine, but I have no lines going anywhere. In theory, if I found replacement lines and hooked it up, I should just be able to charge it with R 134 and it should work, if I could get air into the car. If anyone could tell me how to trouble shoot, it would be greatly appreciated. Jesse

I am going to assume your "beater" is the Fox.

Fox R134A Conversion

If you are missing the lines, you would be best off having a shop flush the condenser, etc. Then install a new reciever dryer unit and orifice tube. Then install new hoses, vacuum it and charge it.

Might work a bit without this, but probably not well and not for long....

Thanks. A lot of work went into it. But I am staying nice and cool in this 100+ heat and I haven't touched the GT system in years and the vert since I did it last year. I like to fix things right the first time.
