what are svo heads?

hey guys. ive seen talk about 2v svo heads. what are they and where do you get them? are they worth looking into? thanx.

they have the old non pi style ports-but ported they will make more power than ported pi heads.

Houston Performance has two cars-one with ported PI's and one with ported SVO's-and the ported svo's make 40more hp.

i looked on the houston performance site. are the svo heads the frpp heads they have listed on their sit?

Yes I do believe they are the FRPP heads, but if I also remember correctly they are pretty expensive.

The svo heads without being ported are better than PI heads. They are not a version of the non PI heads. If you have ever read about them they are 100% completely different. They are better and If I had the money I would buy them over the PI heads

Much cheaper to have you heads ported.

Ported SVO/FRPP heads for the 4.6 are the best options if $$$ will allow. --- as I remember

The problem with using SVO heads on a 99+ is reduced CR. Sure they are a better set of heads then PI's, but at a steep price and reduced compression.

For 99+, PI are the way to go.

I would have your heads ported because it would be a lot cheaper. If you have the money and you want to get the most performance out of your engine then build a short block with non PI pistons and svo heads.

Woh much do 4V heads flow?Just want to compare between them stock and some aftermarke 2V heads.

yeah... i have been looking at the patriot heads all along... awsome. does anyone know if the new 3v heads will bolt up? just curious. that would be a neat project.
