Can someone tell me what these things are?

They can't be temperature sensors, there's no automatic climate system.

Maybe microphones for the nonexistent (in the convertible anyhow) telephone handsfree speakerphone?

Just curious...

Those are the motion sensors for the active anti-theft system (optional for 05-up Mustangs).

They're microphones for the hidden black box. If you get in a wreck, all the info and recording from the last minute before the wreck are given to your insurance company.

Yes, motion sensors for the factory active anti-theft system. I ordered my 07 GT without this, so I do not have the little motion sensors there.

They're memory-erasing lasers, installed so that when you think you have a warranty problem, it zaps you between the eyes. Don't get too close...oh, too late

They are actually secret microphones install so the Govt can keep tabs on all behavior, conversations esp relating to HLS, and tracking whereabouts.
